West Richland Golf Course

Fantastic spot to hang out with friends, enjoy a round of golf, and have a great time!

I played golf on March 26, 2022, and West Richland has always been one of my favorite courses. It's usually not too crowded and reasonably priced. However, I was shocked at how much the course has deteriorated. The greens are in awful condition, and it's not even hot outside yet. The trash bins were overflowing, all the ball washers were bone dry, and there were missing blocks on the tee pads. The fairways are also in rough shape. To make matters worse, the prices seem to have increased. I'm not sure where they are allocating their funds, but it certainly isn’t on course maintenance. For the price, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

I made the choice to play after paying my $50, but I cannot recommend this place. In fact, I urge you to find another golf course. I left feeling like I had been cheated out of my money. It’s really that disappointing. I sincerely wish them the best, as the layout has potential to be really nice and could become an amazing course with some proper maintenance. Perhaps with some investment and care, it could be transformed. However, in its current state, I would consider it unplayable.

I haven't visited this course in years, and I don't remember it being in such bad shape. Our cattle pasture back home was in better condition. The tee boxes are so hard that you need a hammer just to get your tee in the ground. Many parts of the fairways are either dried out or completely dead. The greens have dead patches and holes. I suggest spending an extra $30 to play at another course in town that actually takes care of its facilities. It's not worth the $50 fee to play here. I wouldn't even consider coming back again, even if it were free. A 1-star rating feels too generous.

The course may not be the best, but the staff is excellent and the prices are reasonable. It's a wonderful place to play if you want to enjoy your game without feeling rushed or treated poorly.
