Plenty of flavour to choose from with new flavour every now and then. Don't forget they also have milkshakes and waffles oh sweet glorious waffles (50% off on tuesday - but just the waffles, ice cream on top still full price - cheeky!). Favorite flavour? So hard to choose one, but I love their peanut butter ice cream!

They've had the same old formula + flavours for decades and aside from the Freo shop where you can smell the waffle cones baking, nothing seems particularly innovative or fresh. Gelare Watertown is a bit of an exception to all that, partly a result of its consistently friendly service (not an easy task in a busy DFO) but mostly because of its glutenfree waffles. That's right -- glutenfree waffles!! baked fresh, with or without icecream, using glutenfree icing sugar dusting ... and all of it at the same price as Gelare's normal waffles!! For a coeliac family used to paying a hefty surcharge on glutenfree alternatives, you have no idea how happy we were to finally find a place that doesn't slog us for an allergy. Bravo Gelare Watertown!
