Blue Mountain Coffee House

My friend and I stopped by a coffee shop at 1:30pm for a cup of coffee. When I tried to open the front door, it was locked, and the owner had to come from inside to open it (red flag number 1). The interior was completely empty, which was not surprising. The coffee was extremely overpriced, but I decided to purchase it anyway. The owner was immediately rude. As she made my coffee, I reached for the menu that I had placed on the counter. The noise of me grabbing the menu seemed to startle her, as she quickly turned to look at me. I felt like she thought I was trying to steal something, which was strange considering the high price of the coffee. When I asked her why she was looking at me that way, she mentioned something about my eyes being "off," which made no sense to me. She then proceeded to ask my friend where he worked, only to tell him that the coffee there was terrible. This left my friend and I in disbelief at the strange atmosphere created by this lady. It was disappointing because I had previously visited when her employee was working, and she had been very pleasant, making me want to return. However, after this negative experience with the owner, I have no desire to ever go back. If the owner happens to see this review, she should know that I recently moved to the area and could have become a regular customer, but her attitude and discrimination have completely turned me off from returning. It shouldn't be difficult to just be pleasant to customers. I wish I had read reviews before visiting, as it seems many others have had similar unpleasant interactions with this owner.

I had a great time chatting with Allison this morning while grabbing coffee and breakfast. This place in West Palm is wonderful for a quick bite and it was the highlight of my morning! Don't forget to try the blueberry muffin - you won't be disappointed!

The Jamaican coffee at this restaurant is excellent and hard to find! Allison, the staff member, is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. I highly recommend this place, 10 out of 10!

The coffee that is served is of high quality but a cappuccino with almond milk fetching a price of about 13$ was not worth it. I also ordered the carrot cake which had decent flavor but was a bit dried out. The staff is very friendly and helpful, it is worth a shot just not a return.

Stumbled upon this coffee house while visiting west palm. The owner greeted us with a warm smile and took our order. Such an inspirational sweet woman. The food was great and coffees were even better! Can’t wait to visit again, definitely stopping by here again! ???
