What escouga doesn't like about Lynwood Cafe:
Not sure I've ever been made to feel less welcome at a cafe. We were visiting the area and thought it looked nice from the outside. The tables were dirty, staff uninterested and extremely unhelpful. Only such a pretentious place would have the audacity to plonk a tiny plate in front of you with a badly toasted bit of sourdough and a bit of egg or sausage ,with no garnish at all. No cutlery given, no offer of sauces or... View all feedback.

I am not a big fan of speck, but I agree that this speck was really very good. I had the reuben sourded melt pastrami, emmenthal, Russian dressing, sour wort, gherkins and senf and it was absolutely delicious by far the best I tasted for a long, long time. I was really impressed (can they say it's not the most extensive menu they'll ever see, but what we're thinking about with these two that needs something else? oh, and the personal is also beautiful!
The restaurant has a charming ambiance and is spotlessly clean. The coffee was superb and the food ranged from very good to excellent. We enjoyed scrambled eggs on sourdough with smoked salmon and mushrooms, all of which were delicious, as well as parsnip-rosemary soup with a remarkable sausage roll. The service was friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Additionally, the tables are stable and do not wobble.
I was very impressed by how quickly the food and drinks were served during our visit on a busy Saturday morning. The breakfast menu had a wide variety of options, but the selection of cold drinks was a bit limited.
Today, I tried the Reuben sourdough sandwich at this restaurant and I must say, it was absolutely fantastic. I give it a perfect score of 10 out of 10. The ingredients were perfectly balanced and the taste was thoroughly delicious. I will definitely be coming back for more and hope that they keep this sandwich on the menu.
This place is very shabby chic. I personally liked the ambience of the place. A bit rough and ready. I ordered a toasted sourdough bacon sandwich, which was delicious. It was a good size and represented good value. The staff were friendly and polite. I will go there again.
