We drove half an hour from our hotel to sample this lovely place in a quant villiage. Straight away noticed a lot of pride in the design with the counter and menu board above it. Nice artwork around the place which I assume are pieces from/of new-Zealand. The use of gray paint to pull the various design elements together is clever. Thought I’d try this as I have walked past many times. Friendly staff, nice and clean restaurant, but unfortunately very average food. Soup nice, but a bit watery. Cheese toasted sandwich was flat. I can only describe it as a hint of cheese View all feedback.
Many menu items are gluten-free or can be adjusted gluten-free. The Falafels are super delicious!
Vegan Café, the majority of the menu is adapted to gluten-free diet.
I had a great time dining at Eden Cafe. I was impressed with the wide variety of food options and delicious sweet treats available.
This small restaurant is really nice. The staff were fantastic even though it was busy. I am looking forward to returning.
I am so glad we discovered Happy Cow, a vegan cafe located on a pedestrian street near the High Street that we might not have stumbled upon otherwise. The menu offers a variety of brunch and lunch options, including some interesting combinations (although they do not serve soup during the summer, despite it being on the menu - we were planning on trying the soup, cheese, and spinach muffin combo). In the end, we opted to share the sweetcorn fritters, a savory muffin, and a salad, all of which were delicious. The cakes looked amazing, but we will have to come back another time for some tea and cake!
