I wanted to celebrate my birthday, and I really enjoyed my seafood chef bag. The seafood was all hot and smoked, even spicier than at some other restaurants I’ve tried. Prepare your flashlights because half of the restaurant is too dark. If you're fortunate enough to have a seat where you can see, then it's fine. They’ve limited the capacity due to COVID, which makes it difficult for guests to read the menu or even see their food properly. Each dish was exceptional, and the overall experience was outstanding!
I decided to try this location after having a great experience at the Kearny location. I found this one to be nicer and cleaner, with friendly staff and good service. Unfortunately, the food here didn't live up to the Kearny location. The Crab Fries had barely any crab or sauce, the calamari was quite oily, and the po' boy was on the dry side. I'm not sure why the quality of the food was lacking at this location, but improvements are definitely needed. If it weren't for the food issues, I would have given it 5 stars. Food rating: 3.
A few years back this place was under different management and may I say whoever took over HAS TURNED THE RESTAURANT AROUND IN A FULL 360! The ambiance is wonderful and the team is coming together well , I will say a lot more work to do but since I returned I say this is the best experience I’ve had and i swore I’ll never return but the new management changed my mind .. DONT WALK RUN DOWN TO WEST ORANGE HOOK AND REEL !
The girls on staff were really mean. My guy waiter was nice. All night I heard the girls wish everyone who left a happy holiday but when I left they said nothing, and I was a normal customer, not a Karen. They really killed the vibe there. The one had a huge attitude. There’s no reason for it. I can’t pull that sht at my job and still have one. Unprofessional staff overall. So judgy. And staff flirts with each other the whole night, dancing on each other too. Sits at bar. Inattentive. Go somewhere else. There’s lots of seafood places. Wish I just kept my money. Horrible experience.
Came for our afterwork outing and we had a FANTASTIC time. Staff were super chill and the food was amazing. Loved the whole vibe and atmosphere. We'll be back. My wife brought her work crew the following week and then said the same. Outstanding professional and attentive staff plus GREAT foods and Drinks. My Rum Punch.... Outta this world! Service: Dine in
