Ate there on Saturday with group of 9, service was great & courteous. Food was delicious & portions were generous. Had the pan seared fresh pickerel which was amazing. Everyone else loved their steaks and someone had the pea & carrot soup that was delicious. Overall a great experience, would go again if travelling to Sturgeon Falls again. Enjoyed it very much. What Delta Sauer doesn't like about Steak & Rib's Padous:
This was my second trip here and after a long break I was told and cajoled into trying it again.Wifes food was great but avoid the steaks as this was the second time I have tried it here and the second time I have ended up eating at home instead. Asked for well done with NO PINK and it came quite pink. So it was sent back but it came back the same as it went. No idea if they tried to "nuke" the pink out of it but we... View all feedback.
Just had Philly Steak sandwich with friesAWESOME! Service could be a bit quicker but well worth the waitPrices are reasonable.
I prefer to avoid negative tones in a restaurant review, but there are a few things I must address first:1: This is an echoey space, with no real sound baffling material, so one loud table creates a lot of loud tables, all having to try to talk over each-other.2: The menu, while appropriately sized, lacks important details that I will get into later.3: The table and booth layout makes navigation more difficult than it needs to be.Now I will get to the meat and potatoes of this review. As always I asked for the soup du jour, and was met with two: creamy potato bacon, and turkey and rice. I was not tickled by those options, but I do appreciate having two options.I ended up ordering the Philly Steak Sandwich, and my sister ordered the nachos. The sandwich was good, but critically lacked any cream cheese, the thing that makes a steak anything 'philly'.The real problem was in the nachos. Before our meals arrived, a basket of (I assume fried) tortilla slices was placed in front of us with a surprisingly good dill dip. The tortillas they were made from were wheat. My sister and I both avoid wheat due to a sensitivity to the pesticides typically used on it. A small amount is fine, but it can't be the cornerstone of a meal. Then the main course arrives, and we discover that the 'nachos' use the same tortilla slices. Definitely more than either of us can comfortably eat. There was no indication on the menu that the nachos were different than usual. Usually ordering nachos is a safe bet to avoid wheat products in a restaurant, because you make nachos out of corn chips. That's the way it's done. If you're making nachos with fries, you call it 'nacho fries'. If you're making nachos with chili, you call it 'chili nachos'. If your methodology differs from the standard, you make a concerted effort to indicate that on your menu. It is a clever idea, but you have to make it obvious.Fortunately, after we pointed this out, my sister's meal was comped, so it was not a great loss for us, but we did feel bad about wasting what would have been a great serving of nachos, for the mistake of not specifying the nature of the chips on the menu.In conclusion: I would visit again, but I hope that they put a little more effort into the details of the place in order to create a softer atmosphere, and to reduce waste.

Asked for well done with NO PINK and it came quite pink. So it was sent back but it came back the same as it went. No idea if they tried to "nuke" the pink out of it but we all know that's never going to work LOLI wouldnt mind the prices if the quality was there but alas with two failed attempts at a steak over a period of time its not on my "go back list". If I am cajoled into it again then I certainly will be giving the meat dishes a very wide berth.
Passing thru spending the night in town and stumbled upon this gem. The Delmonico Steak was awesome so Flavorful and Tender served a perfect Medium Rare. My wife's Monte Cristo was great as well as the Salads. The Waitress was super friendly and efficient.
They do not hire enough staff, especially for functions. I attended a party with approximately 35 other people and there was one server. She did her best but many people were sitting for long periods of time without service. Disappointing.
