I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered this restaurant. It’s truly fantastic! The salad I had was the best I’ve enjoyed in a restaurant in years. They also offer takeout meals, a butcher shop, and a pub. At first, I was just curious, but now I'm really looking forward to going back. View all feedback.
What northern sportsman dislikes about Don's Pub And Grill:
Feeling grossed out by my poutine tasting like fish and later finding out that they do cook fish and fries together, it strikes me as unsanitary and inconiderate since there are people with fish allergies, people who are vegan who might want fries, or people who just simply don't want their fries tasting like fish. This is making me skeptical of all their deep fried foods tasting like fish. Service: Take out View all feedback.
The meal was excellent, as it usually is; however, I recommend not having them split your Caesar salad if you request a family portion. It typically arrives much smaller and isn't mixed properly. We've tried it that way a few times now and won't do it again. The service is good, albeit a bit slow, but still reliable. Overall, the meals are great and reasonably priced.
The butcher shop, which complements the restaurant, is also worth a visit. If you appreciate fresh, high-quality meat, this is the place to go! The owner is knowledgeable, and the staff is just as well-informed. Regardless of which part of the shop you enter, you’ll find the staff to be friendly and ready to offer great recommendations. The wings here are simply the best! It's our favorite restaurant by far. They did a fantastic job setting up for reopening during Covid, with plenty of outdoor seating and plexiglass inside for safety. I also love the butcher shop that’s attached to the restaurant—it's great because you can buy Don’s incredible wings to cook at home! Michele is the best server we've ever had.
