Was a bit weary about going in as we didn'... read more This was one of the places recommended to us by the Hotel we were staying at (Comfort Inn) and it did not disappoint. Was a bit weary about going in as we didn't really want to eat at a bar, but it is a bar and a regular restaurant too. Wasn't busy at all...a couple people at the bar and only one other family there. Lots of TVs all over the place to watch. Food was excellent. The chicken fingers were very tasty and the home made fries were delicious too. Probably the best we have eaten in a long time and we will definitely go here again next time we stay in town. Service was excellent too. Glad we came here.

He said that there was absolute... read more My homerun poutine was okay, and my daughter enjoyed her pogo and fries. My husband's chicken bacon ranch wrap wasn't very good. He said that there was absolutely no ranch sauce on it, and the chicken lacked flavor and was dry. The server took our order, and we never saw her again after that. Someone else brought the food, and my husband tried asking on multiple occasions if he could get some of the ranch sauce for his wrap, but she ignored him every time. We were never checked on or asked how things were or if we needed anything. However, she was able to check on the table next to us at least 9 times. We noticed that there was also another table that was left just as ignored as us. They finally had to go up to the bar to inquire as to how to pay because the same server couldn't even be bothered to bring him his bill. We also had to go out of our way to find out about paying. It's not that great of service when you're almost afraid to ask for anything, and ignored when you actually do.

I arrived after the kitchen was closed, but our server was very friendly and was able to persuade the cook to make us something to eat. The cook brought us two delicious homemade pizzas. It was karaoke night and the entertainment was fantastic. The crowd was very funny and friendly. The owner even bought our table a round of drinks and a patron gave us a ride back to our hotel. We will definitely be returning to Don's in the future. Thank you for a fun night.
