We went there to celebrate my birthday. We requested a table outside and the receptionists told us that the waiting time for that was about 45 minutes. We agreed on waiting. When they texted us they had a table inside for us. As soon as my husband said that we had requested to be outside the lady didn’t even apologized for the mistake. She was rude and said very impolitely that we had to wait longer if we didn’t want to seat inside. We were already hungry and had waited some time so we decided to seat inside. That’s not the first time they were rude to us. We should have left. The waiter and the busboy were rushing and even took our plates before we were done eating. They go on top of you to serve the person on the other side of the table and they were rough to serve and clean up. We felt like they would drop something on us at any moment. The food was not the same. It was blend and overcooked. It was not a good experience to go through specially when the only thing you wanted was to celebrate your birthday eating a good food and having a good time with your friends. This used to be our favorite Rumba, not anymore.

The restaurant provides a lively atmosphere and offers reasonably priced, delicious Cuban cuisine. While there is room for improvement with the servers, the overall level of service was attentive. The restaurant offers a partial view of NYC and has balcony seating. We particularly enjoyed the empanadas, with the picadillo being our standout favorite, although the pollo was dry. The chicharroncitos de puerco were satisfactory, however, we also found some bits of it rather dry. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the bistec de palomilla, which was exceptionally tender and flavorful. Additionally, we found the Cuban sandwich to be delightful, and the fries were executed well.
