Listen, can we please stop calling black owned restaurants southern food. This restaurant, like many others, i.e Texas, looks the part, but has no clue. The food is always bland, no tradition in it. One can only hope that the absurdities of economics don’t harm this business forcing them to close shop.I’ve been around, and I’ve eaten in many places in the States and abroad, but nothing ever prepared me for the symphony of flavors this food place offers to people.Food is simple yet full of weight, aroma and character. The experience takes you back to great-grandmother’s best cooking. Ron’s might be a modest place to eat authentic family Southern food but believe me people, only an insensitive unlearned palate would complaint about their offerings. Best homemade cooking in ages.
Had the smothered pork chops, greens, cabbage, and yams! Sooo damn good!
Awesome food and great service.Will definitely be back for more.
