owners and server were both so nice. everything was fresh and delicious. we shared homemade tomatenbisque and roasted pear salad for app. they split both into separate dishes for each of us that made sharing easy. the court was great. very tender. the seafood fra diavolo was the perfect amount of seasoned with huge homemade spaghetti. finished with the dessert “milk and cookies” assorted cookies and homemade gelato.... A friend recommended Sprig Market Cafe located in West Long Branch several weeks ago. Needless to say we have been back 3 weekends in a row and are already planning our next visit. Owned and operated by Chef Samuel Witten and his beautiful better half Kimberly, every dish we have tried (appetizer, entree and dessert) has been every bit of fantastic, down to the last morsel. Whether you are in the mood for pasta, seafood, chicken, steak or something off the vegan menu, the fresh, innovative offerings will have you coming back. On their website, Sam and Kim aptly sum up their philosophy: “FOOD IS ART THAT NOURISHES THE SOUL”. With that I wholeheartedly agree. Run don’t walk to this gastronomic museum. You will not be disappointed!
The plating/ presentation alone is gorgeous. But then you get to the fresh mix of flavors and textures- great tastes. Healthy but not boring. The owner's attention to guests is wonderful. Relaxed grown up atmosphere. Unique location for such a gem. Unique layout, some great touches. Ive already recommended- and intend to return!
This is an excellent restaurant with a creative and talented chef. We love it!
A great find. We like to try new restaurants. This a hit. Seated quickly, and server explained the menu. Very knowledgeable, little did we know she is the chefs wife. Both our salads were great. My duck was done as I requested, and without thew cloying sauces, that are usually served in it. The rack of lamb was delicious but a bit to done. The sides served were very tasty. We ordered the Pear Hazelnut desert. Delicious. The Chef came out of the kitchen and was charming, so was his wife. Asked us how we liked our food and told us about his background. We will be back soon.
