The Olive - West Lindsey

I'm sorry to report that the bar and restaurant were closed due to a flood, but they were in the middle of renovations. The rooms were located in a stable block at the rear of the property, so fortunately they were not affected. We had reserved two rooms, both of which were very comfortable and clean. There was ample parking available and several pubs and restaurants within walking distance. We dined at The Advocate on Friday night and were so impressed that we came back for breakfast the following morning.

We booked a stay at The Olive Rooms for the Market Rasen races and it was fantastic! The room was charming and spotlessly clean, making it a delightful and unique place to stay. The tapas was authentic, delicious, and reasonably priced. The staff, including Nicole, Steve, Sienna, and others, were amazing - very accommodating and genuinely kind people. Even their cat, Jessie, greeted us with a cuddle! We stayed up late chatting, laughing, and enjoying drinks with them. The cocktails were made from scratch and you could taste the difference! We will definitely be returning to The Olive Rooms. Thank you so much for an unforgettable day and night!

We stopped at this restaurant for the Market Rasen races and it was the perfect choice for a one-night stopover. The location was ideal, the room was immaculate, and the tapas were delicious. The selection of drinks was also impressive. The restaurant had a modern atmosphere with a rustic/Mediterranean theme, which we loved. The outdoor drinking area was a great spot to relax in the 30-degree heat. The owners and staff were welcoming and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We had a nice chat with them at the end of their shift, which was a nice touch. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning in the future.

Wow what an amazing time we had in Market Rasen thanks to The Olive. As a chef, it’s a bittersweet experience giving credit and reviewing others, but hats off to Steve and Nicole and their staff for making our stay memorable, with great rooms and fantastic food. Do come and visit and enjoy the food and fantastic cocktails, major loss if you don’t.

Only stayed 1 night but the food and room was really good. The owners were lovely, particularly the young man that served us our meal and waited on us. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Steve Wendy Yensen
