My wife and I decided to stop at this restaurant for a Latte and we noticed the beautiful scones, so we had to get one each with clotted cream. They were delicious. View all feedback.
What janedavis2009 doesn't like about Scrummies:
Popped in to meet up with 2 friends who lived locally. Lovely place but the spiced carrot and parsnip soup today was foul! It was so spicy one mouthful was enough to taste and it went back. Could not taste the vegetables at all . Staff were adamant it was lovely and being asked to pay £5.50 for the bread and butter on the side of one plate was diabolical ! Really View all feedback.
We live in the village of Saxilby and visit Scrummies regularly for an excellent breakfast. However we recently discovered that they are now open Sunday lunchtime for roast dinners and Friday evenings offering foreign foods. We went with family for a lovely Sunday roast, with all the vegetable trimmings. All freshly prepared with lovely fluffy yorkies. Our son and daughter in law went to the Tapas evening and had a wonderful time. They had never tried Tapas but do eat out in lots of quality places. They returned home to tell us that the quality of the food wouldn't be out of place in a good London restaurant and it far exceeded their expectations, being one of their best meals out ever. Wow...praise indeed. And you can take your own wine. So go on Saxilby, no need to travel, try Scrummies, which is also easily accessible for others in nearby villages, or even Lincoln by train. Well done to all those running Sunday lunches and Friday nights.
Saxilby is now complete with Sunday Lunch at Scrummies, recently introduced, we went on 29 October, and had a first class meal, it was really excellent, we have used Scrummies Monday to Friday, for several years, and have NEVER been disappointed, now that Sunday lunches are available, it provides a 7 day a week Restaurant, amazing quality, quantity and real enjoyment. The staff are really friendly, and the whole experience is first class. 10/10 for everything. Mike and Linda. Well Done

Called in at this lovely little cafe in the delightful vilage of Saxilby for coffee and scones. The scones were were so delicious that we purchased some the following day to take home. The lunches sounded lovely, so we will make a point of visiting again when next in the area. Very friendly staff too.
We went to the restaurant during the Scarecrow event over half-term. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Despite being very busy, the service was good. There was an option to sit outside under a canopy, which was nice. The food was tasty and the restaurant was child-friendly. As visitors to the village, we were happy to discover such a great little coffee shop.
