Decided to check out Touchdown Willy's as it's a stop on the way home during the work week. Walked in and the place is riddled with TV screens. First impression was wow, this is a nice little sports bar. Upon walking up to the bar, the place expands nicely to the right. So much for thinking this was little!. There are quite a few tables and about 5 or 6 booths to sit and eat at. Tried the Chicken Wing's which were aw... View all feedback.
What Rhoda Hoppe doesn't like about Touchdown Willy' Tap and Grill:
Since Touchdown Willy's is convenient to our home, we frequented it regularly. However, the last few times, we have experienced very slow service. When taking children, waiting 45 minutes for a burger is not acceptable. Even when told, we were in a hurry, nothing changed. Because of time restraints, our daughter had to take her food in a container or be late for work after waiting nearly an hour. Unless we are assure... View all feedback.
A great stop for wings and more. there is a good selection of local and craft beers, with specialties! the personal is attentive and efficient. the food arrived quickly and was very good. really big wings, both cajun and lemon peppers were great. salat and...Kartoffato skins were a good way to round the experience. will definitely be back and recommend others.
We enjoyed a single and a double fish and chip lunch with cole Slav and wetar sauce. it was abundantly helped and the double was hard to finish....but after feeding on a cold draft, I could finish my meal. the fish has cooked perfectly, flat and not fat. the pommes were some of the best we had in restaurants. not complaining about this meal. the waiting staff was very friendly and prices very reasonable with a good menu selection. this place deserves definitiw return.
Have went three times, burgers, chicken wraps, chicken wings and fries were always tasty and at a standard price. However, I don’t think I’ve ever received the food in less than 30 minutes. So if you go make sure you are with someone that can...hold an interesting conversation as you will be waiting, even when it’s empty inside. As for the service, this will be an issue. The first time we went it was dead on a Saturday afternoon and took about 15 minutes for the waitress to come greet us and was very sour towards us as if we were inconveniencing her. The next time the owner served us and was very friendly, however spent majority of the time conversing with the regulars. The third time was neutral, but very slow service. If you are limited due to travel, this is an alright place to visit but if you have time and gas I’d recommend checking something out in Grimsby or Font Hill.
Where should I start? we came at 5:30 and sat fast, then everything fell apart. our order has been removed and drinks delivered. the. we waited and waited. we only ordered a chicken club and a chicken sluice, but at 18 o'clock our server. told us they had problems. again at 6:15 a.m., she came back to talk to another one. guess what, 6:30 another apology. While all this went on, we had enough time to observe their “Covid” practices. they delete the tables, no chairs, no menus, no seasons. the flur in the direction of the toilets had a disgusting smell before you even got into the washroom. the washrooms were clean, but a certain problem went. Finally we were served around 6:40 cold sandwiches and cold frits. that is not worth waiting. a terrible excuse for a restaurant. with covid we tried to get out of our way to support the independent, we drove over half an hour to get there, our lection learned.
Huge portions of fish and chips with all sides and perfectly cooked. my father chased fish and chips, so we gave willys try in the city. all COVID protocols on site and we order for the collection The restaurant is so beautiful inside too much space. will order again safely.
