Very warm and welcoming. eating was great, tasty and a lot of it. was a little under staff for a lunchtime (only 1 employees to run bar and kitchen orders). will definitely be back.

The menu has changed since my last visit. it was the lunchtime and it seemed to be a wait for drinks, but when our food order was taken, eating quickly enough and excellently cooked. the proportion was more than expected. we were immediately informed that there might be a waiting time, as we had all ordered fish finger sandwiches. that was not too long and that was eating.

Only one member of staff and the the geezer on his own was rushed off his feet. But, he was friendly and provided a great service and needs a rise! Would visit again. Had food previous visit and was pretty good for standard pub fare...

I recommended the market cross because the atmosphere is great and relaxed. great classic pub style that becomes rare. the staff are friendly and kelly served our drinks quickly and efficiently keep a smile during work. other employees always remember to check us to make sure that we are looking for the great hospitality
