What 5d5d doesn't like about Rigby's Coffee Shop:
Been for breakfast menu previously before COVID set in and it was lovely. Invited visiting friends for lunch there today and all meals were average at best. We had two of the specials board meals, Turkey and cranberry barm with chips and salad. One slice of turkey in a very thin barm with a few chips and coleslaw £8.50. And Salmon fish cakes. This charming café offers a wonderful breakfast menu and delicious coffee. Located in a beautiful area, it is a delightful spot to enjoy a meal.
On the 01.03.23 we called in for the above. We were disappointed with the breakfast as the tomato was not cooked Bacon was not well done as was asked for at the ordering point were also charged 50p for scrambled egg (egg already included in the price), this was not mentioned at the time of ordering the toast was very burnt one of the slices of bacon was raw.
Called in for lunchtime bacon on toast. Great service, great food and the bonus of Heinz Tomato ketchup . This was followed with a coffee. Super.
I recently visited this restaurant for the first time in over two years and brought a friend for lunch. When we arrived, about a third of the tables were empty. However, soon after we placed our order, every table was occupied. Our drinks arrived first, followed quickly by our meals. The food and coffee were both delicious. Overall, it was definitely worth the visit.
