This is the best Indian restaurant around the Purdue campus in West Lafayette, IN. I was surprised with their food quality, taste and the pricing. Cheaper than most restaurants in big urban cities. I visited this place three times during my four day stay in West Lafayette. A must visit place for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. View all feedback.
What M J doesn't like about Taste Of India:
I liked the restaurant and food options. Though, I hate the fact that in buffet they have weird rule of you're not suppose to take bowl for curries gravy items. If you use bowls it's extra $2 bowl. Management, pls look into it as it is so inconvenient to eat curries into a single plate and everything becomes so messy. Pls tell your staffs to be more polite to everyone.Vegetarian options: Not sure about vegan View all feedback.

Great food and great service .big dining area.Buffet was so good and cheaper . The guy who was a manager his great
Food wasn't as tasteful as it was automatic. The buffet was minimally typical but fresh, which is what saves it. The service was very polite and friendly at the introduction then tapered off once the language barrier came into play. The atmosphere was hard to read for I couldn't separate the negativity I seem on guests lips, whether it was outside energy or created from the environment. Will I return, probably not, but for an intro to Indian cuisine, it's a nice starter.
Great food, but awfully long wait times. You have to wait over 50 minutes for a single dish no matter the time of day. They have a relatively large dining area but you have to commit at least an hour whether if you are dining in, taking out or ordering. It is slightly more expensive compared to Dakshin across the street but portions are biggerParking: Retail parking under granite apartmentz
