Village Tavern - West Kennebunk

Usually 4.5 stars. The food had no wow factor during this visit. Steaks and fish were on the dry side. Great service. I hope you have a higher rating on the next visit. I love this place.

Eat here 10 years now and never disappointed. The food is perfectly prepared and cooked. The staff has been there for a long time and is always friendly. You need reservations.

Make a reservation. Website says they only take limited reservations, but they seemed to be fully booked. We went in at 5:30 and waited for 30 minutes on a table, all the others had booked a table. Food was good and one of the better meals we had in the area. Ordered Burger Medium and it was rather well done. Fries were hand-cut and delicious. Really appreciate that they allow smaller parts of all entrees for children! Children's menus should not exist. In any case, an older amount. Maybe because we arrived early, but I'm in the 50s and I've been the youngest person there for a few decades. Only complaint is how difficult most dishes are on the menu. Hard to imagine eating some of the dishes in August after a long hot day on the beach.

Our server was wonderful. The food was good. I was disappointed with the potato pancakes.

This place is hands down the best restaurant around..the crab cakes are the absolute best I?ve ever had..I loved the coconut crusted haddock..wife had the lamb shank and it was so tender and melt in your mouth good!! We try and go twice a month..seriously folks this place is a gem!!
