It 's definitely a local gem with a modern vibe. I believe this is the first location; so, I feel the franchises are okay in comparison. But I 've been eating here since I was a kid. I just wish the rye bread actually had ground up, or any, caraway seeds in it; but all the breads are delicious. Chocolate chip cookies are also really good! They have a carmel flavor and the right texture. View all feedback.
What Diego Pliego doesn't like about Village Baker:
The biggest bummer was that the wasn't a baby changing station anywhere to be found. I had to put my baby changing pad directly on the floor in order to change a dirty diaper. Really disappointed there. Sadly, the egg salad sandwich was no good this time around. It was supper gloopy and not mixed well. The service was great! The cashier was super friendly and awesome even though it was her 2nd day on the job. View all feedback.
In my opinion. This is by far the best sandwich place in town and very reasonably priced.

The breakfast sandwich was fresh and really good. I’ll definitely be back to try other options. I would have rated this a 5 but I was disappointed there was no way to try the loaves of bread they actually sell in the store. (Cranberry Orange, Cinnamon Raisin, etc. Similar to buying a bagel, I would have paid to buy a slice in one or both of these flavors (or as toast . They didn’t offer it and didn’t offer any samples to determine if they’d be a right fit for gifts either. Missed opportunities.
I just went for my first time and it was SO good! I got the turkey provolone on honey rye and I will be dreaming about the honey rye until I have it again! It was amazing. I got the whole sandwich but I would’ve been fine with a half, it was huge! Good prices too, the whole sandwich was less than $10!
Kind server answered all questions kind of busy and packed but overall great sandwich and salad
