What User doesn't like about Dunkin':
I work right on the road that leads to this coffee shop, and I've attempted to stop by for coffee at 7:50 on two separate occasions, only to find it closed. I understand that people want to go home, but closing the doors ten minutes before the stated closing time is confusing and frustrating. View all feedback.
Parking lot is a nightmare. Worse still was the service. I went inside. Ordered a coffee and some food. Got my coffee. Stood there for upwards of 5 minutes while everyone who ordered after me got their beverages and food. A young man behind the counterasked if I had received my food. I explained I had not. He spent several minutes looking for it. Found it... a young lady working was holding my bag of food, and had been the entire time while she was screwing around and chatting with hercoworkers. By the time I got my food, it was cold. How hard is it to put the bag of food on the counter, literally 3 feet fromwhere you're standing around chatting loudly about your personal issues? There were like 8 people behind the counter and onlyabout 4 or 5 were actually working.
I work nearby and have stopped by for a coffee at 7:50 PM only to find the place closed—this has happened to me twice now, even though they are supposed to close at 8 PM. I understand that people want to go home, but turning customers away just 10 minutes before closing is really frustrating.
I would like to take a moment to compliment the staff at 12 Boston Post Rd in West Haven. The service is consistently excellent, the staff is friendly, and they always get my order right. Even during busy times, they remain patient and bring a positive energy that I truly appreciate. Thank you all!
The cashier was very nice, but when I asked to speak to the manager to seek a refund and to clarify why the free coffee didn't apply, I was told there was no manager on site. I found it hard to believe that only employees were there to open the store and set up the cash registers. It just didn’t make sense. Then, another employee with faded pink hair came over and informed me that other customers were waiting behind me, and therefore, they couldn’t process my refund. I was frustrated because I’m a customer too, and my order and price were incorrect! I immediately called the 800 number to document the situation and also submitted a negative review to corporate.
I gave the new hummas on toast with roasted tomatoes a try today and the winter coffee which I think is the best yet with Duncan. The toast with roasted tomatoes and hummus was delicious small in size but just enough. The winter coffee has a nice stronger roasted taste.
