First time there and everything we had (including a lamb shank recommended by Omar, the owner) was really excellent, especially the shredded phyllo dough and cheese dessert. Will definitely go back. View all feedback.

Eating was good as always, but had a very bad experience with the owner who would make me cautious about the recommended this place. I want to try again. he had only a bad day. but it was very disturbing. View all feedback.
Truly the best Mediterranean food ever!! I travel a lot and love eating Mediterranean food and nothing beats this place. The owners are so friendly, welcoming and sweet. I always recommend this place to everyone. My favorite is the spicy hummus. So deliciousFood: 5/5
Food is not tasty. It was too salty and after waiting 30 mins they gave us cold food. The rice was not even fresh. Overall not a good place to try. Needs lot of improvement on food and service.Food: 1/5
Zaytoon’s have opened a new bistro larger in size on New Britain Avenue. We had a large group and it was fabulous. Zainab and Omar the owners as well as the staff were amazing! The food was delicious well prepared, timely served and every staff member had an eye on the table to make sure we had everything we needed. Omar introduced us to a dessert which was divine called. “Knafeh” we devoured it and all wanted more We had a variety of dishes from their very diverse menu something for everyone, all fresh and home cooked. ALL 10 of us now lovers of this new find, and will return on a regular basis with new friends joining us! Kudos to Omar and Zainab WELL DONE. My mouth is watering thinking about the Knafeh! What a wonderful dining experience none of us will soon forget!
Honestly, really good food. Unfortunately service just didn’t match up.To be fair, there was a huge party of like 25-30 people there who were a little loud and were taking up a lot of the server’s time. But they still could have dedicated one server for that table and the other two for everyone else. There was one person bussing who couldn’t take orders and another who was kind of floating around. It took longer for them to take orders than for the food to come out. Plus half of our party’s meals came out about 10 minutes before the other half and we didn’t get utensils with them. I asked two servers for utensils and they didn’t immediately get us some. So we were kind of sitting there unable to eat.I understand the big party is overwhelming but it still could have been organized better. The owner later came out and apologized because they knew it was a rough night.I’d give them another shot on a quieter night or maybe just take out. Food was excellent. Service could be better.
I believe the owner is Jordanian! My partner proposed to me in Petra and we've been trying to find a taste of Jordanian food for some time. The appetizers are generous as is the entrees themselves we picked something from the grandmother's recipe list and can't wait to try more. The vibe is homey and cozy. Also I would 100% recommend saving room at the end for the kunafa which is made perfectly!
