Panera Bread - West Hartford

The majority of the tables were dirty with crumbs, and the food was extremely overpriced. I spent over $17 on a sandwich and bowl of soup and was highly unimpressed with the quality. I don't think I will be returning here anytime soon. Despite my disappointment, the staff was friendly. However, it was frustrating that they asked for our names for the order but didn't call them out when the food was ready.

The pepperoncinis in my salad and lettuce on my sandwich were both spoiled. The restaurant was out of cherry tomatoes for the salad but had sliced tomatoes for our sandwiches. They substituted cheddar for gouda in the bacon turkey bravo without informing us. The lemonade tasted old. The sandwiches appeared to be haphazardly assembled. The restaurant was empty when we picked up our order, and we were the only online order at the time. The staff at this location showed no care or attention to detail.

I enjoy visiting this Panera Bread because it serves as a popular networking spot. The customer service is excellent, and the food quality is consistently good at this location, unlike the one near West Farms Mall. Based on my personal experience and the dishes I have tried, I would give it a 4 out of 5 rating. The cinnamon crunch bagel is particularly delicious, and I recommend trying the chipotle chicken sandwich without cheese. Their green smoothie is also tasty, but it contains dairy so consider that before ordering.

This place is one step away from abysmal. The past 5 take out orders have been wrong or missing food. Today the most basic food was either made wrong or out. Whoever is managing this place has no clue as this has been a months-long problem. I don 't knowwhy I keep torturing myself by coming here.

Over the past twenty years, I would have given this restaurant a 5-star rating. However, I was recently disappointed to discover a decline in the quality of the food.
