I grew up and eat a lot of cheese babka on Easter and consider it one of the only good dishes served on Easter (in my family). When I came to the Elmwood Pastry Shop in December, I was curious that they had them, and it was a covenant! I get used to the whole round. Hours have changed recently, it is not especially on Sundays they are now, and if you want to dinner in someone's house You're really gonna be over somewhere and take Dessert. Fruitcakes are right pretty honest crust could be more fluffy and light. I like her bread, but if you're not in the morning, there's a good chance you won't find it later on the day. From out of town and stopped for Viking Limpa. Had a delicious roast beef sandwich on a croissant. Very friendly staff! Limpa was very good, although not as flavorful as I recall from childhood.
This family owned bakery is one of the best in Connecticut since 1949.
I grew up in Elmwood and Elmwood Pastry Shop is the same as it was 40 yrs ago. Heavenly baked goods and great customer service!
Richard. You'd took it out of the park with not one but 2 fantastic cakes for my sister-in-law and my wife's birthday. They were so fresh and delicious that everyone raved about them. They really made a great party better. There's no better than an Elmwood Pastry Shop cake See you soon.
Their peanut butter frosted filled cupcakes are delicious.
