What Tony M doesn't like about The Sun Inn:
2nd visit to the Sun Inn, and as it was earlier in the week the carvery was not on offer which was a pity because their standard menu was limited and the choice I had of their Pie and veg was mediocre at best. It was clearly a microwaved effort and with little to commend it. Otherwise the comfort, ambience, and service were all good to excellent, but for the price charged, I thought the food was poor value for money. What User likes about The Sun Inn:
This is our 'go to ' pub for the best carvery in Dorset. Not only on Sundays, it proved so popular they provide it every day! Recommend you book ahead, this is actually a local legend in our family! View all feedback.

Large small pub with homemade food, very courtesy and good service for our large group on a school trip.
Best brat I ever had in the restaurant. already booked to go back! good priced, good portion sizes and welcoming and friendly staff.
Great service with friendly staff, carvery was great.
Burgers was really good and big very good service will be back.
Lovely pub old fashion and cosy. Food good and well priced. Next to a main road. But lots of parking and nice grounds..

read moreThe Sun Inn offers a mixed dining experience, combining a cozy atmosphere with a varied menu that has received both praise and criticism. While many visitors have enjoyed hearty carvery options, praising the quality of the meats and sides, others have encountered inconsistent food quality, with some dishes described as mediocre or microwaved. Service has generally been friendly and accommodating, particularly during busy periods, yet there have been complaints about rushed dining experiences and temperature comfort. Overall, while many return for the warm ambiance and favorable prices, others are left hoping for improvements in food consistency.
