We spent many lunches on the terrace last year, but this time we met with friends for lunch and it was a little cold outside! The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was amazing. We walked from West Bay with friends to eat here but were told by the waiter that there were no tables available despite only one terrace table being occupied. As we walked away I called SBH and was told we could have a table in...a short while perhaps it was our attire that the waiter didn't approve of. This restaurant is located in a wonderful location with views of the sea. very friendly and attentive staff. we had a pleasant lunch and will return.
We went for Sunday midday, eating was delicious and of a very high standard and the workers were very attentive and worth knowing about the dishes and the weeping list. the location is ideal with view of the sea with a simple modern interieur that reflects its position on the sea.
We have dinned at the SBH on a few occasions and the food service has always been exceptional, if you like fish this is the place to go in Dorset. Family friendly staff and beautiful views. stars!
The restaurant has a stunning view on the terrace. The server was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, with the lobster bisque being a standout dish. The fish and chips were perfectly cooked. I can't think of anything else to ask for in a dining experience. I will definitely return.
Beautiful coastal location with a dining terrace enjoying views towards Chesil beach. Our room was an attic room approached by a narrow staircase. The view if standing up was great. The room was spacious but you could have thought the furniture was bought in hand shop with minimum facilities and only a bath with a shower attachment. Not suitable for elderly guests. Was it value for money sadly no at a night.
