While some have experienced issues like cold chips and missing bookings, overall the food is praised for its quality and variety. Customers appreciate the gluten-free options and welcoming staff. The Sunday roast may be hit or miss, but other menu items like the steak and ale pie are recommended. Despite occasional hiccups, the Clockhouse Inn is a charming spot for a meal, whether stopping in for a quick lunch or booking a larger party for a special occasion.
Fantastic Village pub. The staff are so friendly. The perfect place to go after a long walk! The bar food is lovely they have a Special ‘s Board too.
Great no nonsense traditional pub. Tasty food which caters for Coeliacs and is very reasonably priced. Very friendly service. Would highly recommend.
Booked our party of 34 to come in late (1.30pm) on a Tuesday. Despite the fact that everyone had individually pre-ordered their meals, they were well prepared and on the ball. No mistakes/ omissions. Remarkably fast service from very friendly staff, who were ultra efficient without appearing rushed. Plenty of time relax over a drink and enjoy the food, which was excellent. We had been on a trip to see the engineering works that refurbished our village church bells. Stopping off at the Clock on the way home was a great way to finish the outing. A real bonus!
I went here for an 18th meal and ordered a burger. It came and I picked out around 5 hairs. After speaking to a manager he said ‘well there was not any hairs in the second one was there?’ Not to mention that a rustlers burger was better than this. Don’t bother to go. The only positive was the good nice barmaids. Would not recommend
Met up with friends for lunch and found pub very quiet and with no atmosphere. The chicken our friends ordered was no available. Two of us had fish and chips which was almost inedible. The ham, eggs and chips wasn't too bad. My husband breaded plaice was obviously ready made. Not worthy of a return visit.
