Despite some negative encounters, the food receives high marks, especially the shakshuka and off-menu sandwiches. The cafe's quirky charm and stunning views are highlights for many visitors, making it a unique and worthwhile stop for a meal or snack. Overall, the Beach House Cafe seems to be a hit or miss destination, with food quality being a consistent positive aspect.
Gorgeous position on Seaton beach with panoramic views of the sea, best viewed from the upstairs restaurant booking recommended. We ate here twice in our weeks stay. Separate vegan menu upstairs and staff knowledgeable on what is and isn't vegan. Cauliflower starter delicious. Really enjoyed skewers and coconut pannacotta (made without gelatine) too. Burger was ok. Downstairs is pizza not sure if they have any vegan options there. Couldn't see any vegan dishes at cafe takeout either.
We visited today and I was impressed with the vegan shashuka it was delicious. The cafe was well set up for covid restrictions and the proprietor explained that there would usually be more vegan options but they had needed to simplify the menu due to the restrictions. I would have given 5 stars but the site won't let me. Thank you
The Beach House Cafe is a fabulous place for vegan and vegetarian breakfasts, their shakshukas are amazing. My favourite at the moment is the Banana Blossom ‘fish and chips’ it is so delicious, the only place in Lyme that serves it. Locals love this friendly cafe.
Good place for a morning cuppa and to watch the world go by overlooking the beach. Friendly staff and good service.
Excellent avocado and feta cheese on chilli bread. Highly recommended. Good coffee too. Sit outside and enjoy the views.
