Great evening spent with lovely people in a superb country pub with all the vitality and friendliness you'd expect in such a place. The beer was well kept and good grub too. Only one small grumble from one or two of our party... we didn't leave any food for their doggie bag but the crisps were nice enough though! View all feedback.
Following the arrival of the new tenant and his new team we visited for dinner last Friday. We ate in the garden and I enjoyed steak with all the trimmings and my wife had the locally sourced pie with mash and vegetables We both enjoyed our meal and the team couldn’t have tried harder. That is what you want in the heart of a village like Loders, a welcoming pub serving enjoyable pub food.
The pub is finally under new management with Paul, Sam and Jasmine and what a difference. It's a pub in which you are made welcome with a smile and don't feel as though you need to leave. The Sunday roasts are amazing with a great choice of veg. Plenty of meat, lovely roasties, the veg served was cauliflower cheese, carrots, cabbage, garden peas and broccoli, Yorkshire pudding and of course gravy. Very filling and tasty. Also had some home made chips with skins on on another visit and these are so nice. Nothing is too much trouble and Paul will even adapt food to someone's allergies etc. Hoping this goes from strength to strength for them as it's about time the pub had people who wanted to be there unlike the last couple who had it!
Great place to eat, I had pork ribs with salad and chips, it was delicious. My partner had the rump steak and it was cooked to perfection. The whole experience was as you'd expect, very helpful staff and a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Beautiful village location with kind elderly hosts. Good basic pub food reasonable prices. No internet, no 4G . TV reception very good. Car park quiet with nice outlook but sloping. Long narrow roads to approach. Britstop, so Motorhomes welcome.
On Sunday night before our graduation, we had some time to spare - 35 minutes to be exact. We decided to pull over and park our van for the night. The owner of the restaurant welcomed us warmly, treating us like old friends. We sat outside in the garden, enjoying some cold beers. The village was charming and we had a pleasant stay in our trusty white van.
