What Tara Harris doesn't like about Abbey Friar:
I've been going to abbey for years. at the beginning they served the best fishing and chips to meile. in the best year it is on the hill. I think that the oil they use, how changed, leaves the fish almost tasteless. the last fish and chips I had from them had a green tone. the dough was boiled and looked like a paper paste. Standard cod and chips together with a curry sauce ordered. fish and chips were nice, but the curry sauce wasn't great. service was friendly.
Fantastic fish, chips muddy heaps! martin stepshen are great young who make you feel so welcome! cannot remember ever having better fish chips!
Cod damnit, this Plaice Batters the senses. Don't have a Chip on you're shoulder by missing out, its fabulous. Scampi on down if your in the area. Tatar for now
