Reasonably priced food and drink compare... read more Recently stayed and had a great time. Food was consistently good pub food. A great selection of proper ales and ciders. Reasonably priced food and drink compared to the rip off prices here in Cornwall and i recommend the chilli dirty fries. An beautiful historic pub with a good beer garden with friendly staff just wished I lived closer.

The chips were inedible as they were so overcooked, the pie was inedible as the pastry was rock hard and the mash was bland and powdery. When we went to pay we were ts we had to pay for it as there was nothing wrong with food, other than the pie being a bit overdone, but the inside was fine, Apparently this is how they serve their chips...burnt and potato-less! But apparently noone else complains about the chips, so that's ok!! Yum!! Enjoy folks!
