We have been here before and thought it was quite nice but this time we felt so uncomfortable that we shouldn't be there. Most staff members were miserable, no one came and asked if our meal was okay, it wasn't very hot food but felt we couldn't say anything as everything a member of staff walked passed stared at us. We have been here before and thought it was quite nice but this time we felt so uncomfortable that we shouldn't be there. Most staff members were miserable, no one came and asked if our meal was okay, it wasn't very hot food but felt we couldn't say anything as everything a member of staff walked passed stared at us. I was rather discussed with there service to be honest.
I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for years. Unfortunately, I have noticed a decline in the quality of their breakfasts and an increase in prices. I always leave feeling disappointed and believe that they need to improve their game.
When you take friends to a place for the first time, having recommended it from our previous experience. You don’t expect to be greeted at the bar by some woman, wearing a headset, wearing a supervisors badge being so abrupt, with a face that clearly showed she couldn’t be bothered and didn’t want to be there, my friend, actually asked me, if we should leave and go elsewhere? We did stay, and had a second round of drinks, the barman bar boy wasn’t much better, we ordered 2 drinks, at first, and he didn’t move to get those drinks, we were asked, what else we wanted ,3 times, and actually asked, how much longer will we be. We said , by the time you have poured our first drinks, the reply no payment, no drinks that’s our policy. Bring back the good days, a phylosophy shared by many. You don’t pay for a meal in a restaurant, before you have eaten it. A view shared by many. Not impressed .
Very disappointed with our visit today. This is a regular wetherspoons that we come to, at least once a month. We watched our food sat underneath the heat lamp for at least 20minutes- we even heard the chef, say that our food had been there ages, with many other customer orders. I’m not sure if this is a lack of communication with the kitchen and waiting staff? But the waiting staff didn’t seem to be doing much, apart from putting cutlery in napkins, as it wasn’t very busy. When we eventually got our food, the chips were extremely soggy and undercooked. The meat on the mixed grill, may as well had still had a pulse! Very disappointed Wetherspoons, as we love it here. We won’t be returning for a while :
