This café is truly delightful, with attentive staff, delicious tea, and fantastic food. Plus, it's dog-friendly!

We have returned to this restaurant multiple times after our Dartmoor walks because of the great coffee and cake. We are now looking forward to trying their Sunday roast. We highly recommend this local business that also supports other local businesses.

First visit in fact first time out in well over a year due to agoraphobia and major anxiety..... The welcome was so friendly it was like walking into a family kitchen (that relaxed warm feeling.. yep you know the one I mean Now my boy Duke (lab is at my side 24/7 so to be able to go and sit with him and have a cuppa and cake was a huge bonus : Vicky was the lady who gave Duke a nice bowl of water and a doggie biscuit (she now has a devoted fan in Duke for life ; We had coffee and cake I had the homemade jammie dodger OMG it was huge but also so yummy and not sickly sweet it was perfect well done Mason and Jane : Rosanna was young lady who was lovely and served us lovely smile and the warmth radiated from her ... Ok now to to the nitty gritty .......... Portion size,, if your a piglet like us then you will love the portion sizes as they are more than generous Variety,, Superb plenty to choose from Prices,, Very good in fact I thought it would be more in fact I would be happy to pay more : Layout,, its well laid out with good space between the tables ideal for us doggy people. and the chairs are nice and sturdy for people like myself who have an arse the size of a Hippo ; And it so clean : Customer Service,, Really you cannot fault the wonderful ladies it is so friendly and welcoming be it whether your just having a cuppa or something cooked Its often the people who in these places that help make its reputation (yes the food does as well ; But having a friendly face can often ease a places shortcomings Jayne's has NO shortcomings : As you sit your eye wanders around the place. I loved the signs etc and they dont rush you or keep coming up to you saying do want anything else : Parking,, There is parking outside on road but imagine in height of season bit more difficult but there is a car park opposite plus you have the visitor center across the road which is fun and interesting : So a huge thank you ladies xx made my first outing a special one
