What Aaron Lee doesn't like about Chowking:
1st time here. Trying it out. I’m disappointed. Will not return. Not recommended to anyone.Found this out after i got home and opened it. Ordered a beef wonton noodle and it’s not as pictured on their menu; it’s the wrong noodle. The beef tasted dry;no flavor. The portion is as if you are eating an instant noodle. Also ordered popcorn chicken. Tasted average. But it’s not greasy.
This is a classic Filipino Chinese restaurant. I always visit for the Taho and the Steam Buns, which are referred to as Siopao in the Philippines. They also offer a great variety of lunch and breakfast dishes. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit!
I was in the mood for some halo halo and stumbled upon this place. I had never heard of it before, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a Filipino-style fast food restaurant. They have an incredible variety of options on the menu. I was already full from my previous meal, but I definitely plan to come back and try more of their dishes. The halo halo was delicious, just as I expected!
This place truly takes me back to my childhood! I'm absolutely obsessed with the siopaos here. While I enjoy the asado variety, the bola-bola ones are definitely my favorites. It's been a while since I had their halo-halo, but I remember loving it! I was delighted to find out they now include boba in it, which was a wonderful surprise. My mom urged me to try the fried siomai, and I'm so glad I did! I really appreciate the contrast of its crunchy exterior and soft interior. And don’t forget to order the buchi! If you’re a fan of red bean, it’s a delightful treat. They do have a sign indicating they’re understaffed, so service may be slower than usual—just keep that in mind. This place has a more homey feel rather than a fast-food vibe, but the service is still fantastic, and everyone is incredibly friendly.
If you haven't ate at chowking have you really lived? I highly suggest the fried chicken, orange chicken, asodo siaopao, pancit canton, they also have amazing soups and the garlic rice is absolutely amazing. Chowking is life????????
