The food here was phenomenal. All 4 people in our party were blown away by how good it was. The service was also excellent. If you're in the area do not pass it by!

Early dinner at The Tipsy Bear in West Branch was delicious. Chose the Salmon special over Fettuccine with mixed veggies. Due to street construction it was confusing to get to, but worth It!

I had the worst dining experience of my life at this restaurant. We ordered two cocktails, an appetizer, and the half rack of Baby Back Ribs special for $26. While the drinks and appetizer were a bit pricey but acceptable, what we received as the ribs was shocking. Instead of baby back ribs, we were served spare ribs that were so tough I couldn't cut them with a knife. The plate almost fell onto my lap as I struggled with it. When I kindly raised my concerns to our waitress and the manager, they said there was nothing they could do. I requested to speak with the owner, who absurdly claimed that baby backs are never supposed to fall off the bone. I had never heard that before. When I asked for a different meal, it took them nearly 30 minutes to bring it to me, and at that point, I was hesitant to eat anything else from the kitchen due to my unease with their food quality. To make matters worse, the owner refused to adjust my bill and even threatened to call the police when we were asked to leave. I've dined at Tipsy Bear many times when it was run by the previous owners, Fred and Kathy, and always had wonderful experiences with my family—never any issues at all. I don’t think the new owners will last long; their service and food quality are completely lacking! We live in the area and will be sure to inform our friends and family to steer clear of Tipsy Bear Bistro. The positive reviews you may see are a result of the previous owners’ hard work, not the current management. Beware!

This was my first visit, and I was truly impressed! The mahi mahi tacos might just be the best I've ever had! I can't wait to come back!

Our server, Mary, was truly wonderful, and her timing was impeccable. It was a pleasure to meet the owner, Steve, and discuss his menu and restaurant with him. Overall, it was an exquisite experience on January 16, 2024.

What a hidden gem! It was such a pleasant surprise. While visiting family from out of town, we sought out a local restaurant instead of a chain, and we found this amazing spot! The service and food were both outstanding. We had the Walleye Crème Brûlée, and it was simply delightful!

The food was excellent! I'm really happy we discovered this lovely restaurant. It’s even better than home-cooked meals. We had lamb and walleye, and both were fantastic!

My friend and I accidentally discovered this restaurant while looking for lunch, and we were very happy with our choices. We each tried a delightful apple cider mixed drink, garnished with a caramel cinnamon rim, and we shared a smoked ham and cheese croissant. The herb mayo in the sandwich provided the perfect touch of tanginess. The bistro's interior is quite charming, with an eclectic collection of wine decorating the walls, which adds to the cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting West Branch who wants to try something unique instead of the usual options.

We stopped by on our way to Mackinac Island and were delighted by the delicious food! I had the salmon and shrimp special, and it was fantastic. The cocktails were excellent too!

We made a reservation for a bustling Saturday night, and it was fantastic! The beef kabob appetizer accompanied by rice pilaf and yum yum sauce disappeared in no time! The brisket grilled cheese with raspberry jalapeño BBQ sauce was absolutely delicious! The chicken and cheese tortellini was indulgent, and the vegetables were perfectly tender! My favorite has to be the petite steak medallions; they never fail to impress! Every dessert we tried was beautifully presented and perfectly balanced in flavor!

This is our go-to restaurant whenever we're in West Branch. The food is always exceptional! Fred is a truly talented chef. However, we think the decor could use an update—particularly the cleaning closet near the entrance. That area could be transformed into a fantastic space for showcasing their wine selection!
