This is one of the best authentic Chinese restaurants where we were! The price is absolutely WORTH it for the quality you receive waiting time is fast. Staff very friendly and good in the language. Very recommended DUCK MEAT SOUP!!! And Jelly Fish Salat! Large room inside with beautiful bright lights and amazing artworks. View all feedback.
What Karen Carter doesn't like about Shangri-la Chinese:
I first had dim sum in Canada snd was glad to find out we have a few local places that do it. Shangri la is a long time restaurant where you can tell they have both people who've come for years and newer converts. They no longer post covid have the trolleys to roll by and tempt and confuse you but a menu. Sizes are a bit smaller I think but the food is still good, service and popular as always View all feedback.
Edit: I had takeout from this place last year and loved it, but I've heard there are some issues with the in-person service now. So, be cautious and please write a review if you notice anything unusual!
I've been here a few times, and the food is delicious! I particularly appreciate the server; he's very friendly and provides excellent customer service. I will definitely be returning!
We had an amazing dim sum brunch experience! We visited years ago, and it's still worth the 45-minute drive. The staff was fantastic—they're not shy about letting you know if you've ordered too much, and they were spot on. It’s hard not to overorder! The regular menu is extensive, and if you choose from it, they serve dishes a la carte, making it easy to share. The restaurant is located in a corner of a shopping plaza, so you need to go inside to find it, but it's just off the parking lot and quite accessible.
My family are old customers for nearly 8 years and this restaurant is one of the few local restaurants that provide relatively ?authentic ? Chinese food. This time we are very disappointed, not because of it is not authentic but the poor quality of thefood. We understand it is tough for the business during this period of time due to labor shortages and increased food cost,butwe are so disappointed and surprised that the quality of the food went down so rapidly compared with the pre-pandemic . The foodweren?t prepared well with strong burnt I can tell it is from the burned rice noodle or unwashed cooking pan) and the size ofthe beef is unreasonable big and not fresh at all as per any cooking styles or criterial. We called the front desk and send thepictures. The lady explained the burned smell is from Cantonese cooking style , which I never came across before with the samedish we ordered regularly for the past 8 years in this restaurant. We get our refund but it is definitely not happy experience.Sadly, I will never go back to this restaurant again.
I had a wonderful solo lunch and really enjoyed the food and ambiance. The stuffed eggplant and tripe were a real treat!!! Cant wait to come back to try more!!!
