The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding! The restaurant is large, beautifully decorated with a cozy fireplace. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Thank you for making our 40th birthday meal so memorable - we absolutely loved it! View all feedback.
What neil r doesn't like about The Greyhound At Tidmarsh:
Apparently just got flooded out, the carpets are still down and pub stinks, they have 2 dogs and I think they have been peeing on the carpet. There was one radiator on in the bar, it was very cold, probably due to the wet carpets. Will not go back View all feedback.
Went for lunch with a friend today. First impressions were a nice venue but bitterly cold. There was no heating on and the staff seemed unable to successfully light the woodburner, however, they did manage to fill the dining room with smoke! So on to the food …. we both opted for roast turkey as it’s nearly Christmas. When it arrived it looked like a school dinner, a couple of slices of round processed turkey, very lumpy not seasoned inedible mashed potatoes, some shredded cabbage and peas, a disc of stuffing and a pot of runny gravy. Everything but the stuffing was tasteless and colourless. The one member of staff was pleasant enough but did not react at all when I said it was the worst lunch I’ve ever had! We were not asked why, or offered anything to compensate. I would not recommend or return any time soon.
Our Go to place when out with our dog and in need of lunch. I arranged to meet a mate with his dog to take advantage of the 20% off offer. Shared plates of prawns, arancini and dipping camembert, washed down with a couple of pints of London Pride. Food and service as always tip top.

Went for Sunday lunch last week at 2 only to be told once seated that roasts had ran out, shocking. Nobody seemed to care and just offered normal menu which proceeded to take am hour for 3 of us. Staff giggling at the bar whilst we waited for drinks atleast 20 minutes. First and last time visiting.
I had the unfortunate pleasure of dining at the greyhound on Sunday 9th October. We were a table of 3 and all ordered roast Beef, when the food came out we had 1 worthless piece of beef which was tough as hell, it also came with no Yorkshire puddings. When I asked our server how much was I paying, I asked her to take it back to the chef and ask if he thought his plate of food worthy of the £18.95. The plate came back and I was told that the chef would bring me a 2nd slice which again was cold and tough. My 2 dining partners were not offered any thing extra. To top it all off, the cleanliness of the pub is not great, with a number of insects and pests being on the tables and in the carpets. I can honestly say that the pub is very over rated.
