I found the tacos at this restaurant to be really good. At $6 per taco, the price is reasonable, but if you're hungry, you might end up eating 5 tacos, which can get pricey. Ordering 3 tacos is probably enough for a regular meal. The staff was also very friendly. View all feedback.
4.1 out of 5 for us. We ordered on Uber Eats. The food was good, sometimes very good, and the portions were generous. Temperature was an issue with a couple of dishes, but that’s always a bit of a risk with Uber Eats. But, the flavors were excellent and the delivery was polite and efficient. We liked it and would happily order again.
Overall place was good with a complete different taste in all their items on the menu varying from other Mexican restaurants and they even had many options to choose from ..! I would recommend this place who are looking for a evening fun with friends ..! The staff was so polite and highly supportive
Taco Tuesdays, the best thing to happen on a Tuesday Hello José has a small menu but they cover the essentials and 5$ decent sized tacos is always a win. I went for a few delicious tacos, a cheese fix with jalapeno cheese fries and the best thing of all was the mushroom and garlic toastada. They also have some light comedy on a Tuesday for a bit of extra fun.
We ate out the back which looked like the tables and seats were all thrown together within an hour. It had backyard vibes (with a few flies hovering) and music bumping. Despite having a raw feel to it the dishes we had that night were clean and well presented.<br/ <br/ We were given some complimentary buttery popcorn while we perused through the menu which has obviously seen some wear. It's one of those menus where you want to try everything because it all sounds so enticing. We started off with some horchata which did taste a bit like medicine but I soon acquired a taste for it with hints of vanilla and cinnamon.<br/ <br/ The ceviche tostaditas tasted super fresh from the brightness of lime, both in the curing as well as a garnish. The crisp base gave it a nice crunchy texture, the guacamole some creaminess.<br/ <br/ I feel like corn is a neccessary starter for Mexican cuisine in Melbourne, charred with melted parmesan, spiced cream and a generous dusting of sumac. That combo with lime gave it plenty of spice, sourness and acidity.<br/ <br/ Our tacos were also great which came with a wedge of lime (more lime needed) and a duo of salsas, each with their own characteristics. They were all very generous and held up well. The pork taco could have been more tender but the crackling was on point. Fish taco was beautifully fried and flesh was flakey and delicate. Chorizo taco was skinless and had some heat to it, it was difficult not to spill the ingredients.<br/ <br/ Would not hesitate in returning and it does get pretty busy late at night as it's a popular spot not only for food but for drinking.<br/ <br/ <br/
Tacos are amazing. I recommend the beef and fried chicken. Wings are delicious too. The corn is just so moorish. Also you have to have a margarita ... or more like many a margarita. Vibe and atmosphere is chill and good music playing.
