When we arrived we were greeted by a note carelessly hung on the door saying that the restaurant would be closed for a short time due to illness. I was looking forward to a nice evening and was very disappointed. Can that ever happen? Yes, definitely, but if business operations ultimately depend on an employee and you don't receive any information (however, a reminder of the appointment was sent via the online reservation service), then I can only rate such unprofessional behavior negatively. Very, very sad idea!
