Description

Tucked into a convenient neighborhood spot, this expansive beer-and-wine emporium offers encyclopedic selections of local craft brews, seasonal releases, kegs, and curated wines alongside an on-site bar, free tastings, a walk-in humidor and heat-and-serve gourmet foods. Helpful staff and case discounts make it ideal for stocking parties or relaxed tastings, and nearby restaurants add dining options. Note occasional quiet periods, infrequent class offerings and inconsistent keg fulfillment.

This is a unique establishment that offers not only a fantastic selection of beers and wines but also a wide array of frozen foods, cheeses, and meats that you can enjoy on-site. You can purchase your food, and they'll prepare it for you—essentially just heating it up—while you relax with drinks and socialize with friends or create your own charcuterie board. Additionally, there are a few nearby restaurants where you can bring in other food items if you prefer. However, during my recent visit, the store was surprisingly slow. Before the pandemic, this place was bustling with energy and had no standing room available.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! They have an impressive selection of beers and a wonderful variety of options. We make it a point to support local North Carolina breweries, and some of my favorites include the Vanilla Coffee Blonde from Cabarrus Brewing, the Mexicali Stout from Birdsong, and the S'mores Porter from High Wire. The S'mores Porter genuinely tastes like dessert! The service was excellent as well. The location is very convenient for shopping and is close to Sabor. They also offer snacks and wine. Overall, a great place!

Love 201 Central! It 's conveniently located and has an awesome selection of wine and spirits. We love going on Saturdays for the $2 glasses of wines. I was a tad disappointed this trip with the attitude of the attendant at the bar. She responded to one of my questions with a snarky What? reply. Even my friend noticed. Despite that one incident, we still had a great experience. Also note that she informed us there is no longer a menu of food selections at the bar like I had seen in the past. The attendant told us a few items they still make. Then we saw her making really nice cheese trays to others that she did not tell us about. Will definitely be going back despite this one occurrence of less-than-impressive customer service because it was an isolated event (to date).

Beer and wine choices at the bar are excellent. Service is excellent. Don 't come for the food though. Now matter what anyone tells you, they don 't have anything ready to eat. Only frozen foods.
