The pizza on the first... read more We went to La Collina twice. The waiter recognized us on the second evening (although the place was full) and offered us the same table. The pizza on the first evening was a welcome change in a week of typical German foods; the pasta on the second evening was huge (a bit more spicy would have been welcome). There are not many Italian restaurants in Wernigerode, so you can choose these, do not hesitate: you will not be disappointed.

A very cozy atmosphere awaits you inside a beautiful half-timbered house with wooden beams and stone walls. The outdoor terrace borders directly onto the castle gate wall—a dreamlike Mediterranean setting. The Italian cuisine is an absolute art. Service, food, and ambiance are all top-notch. For a relaxing, cozy, and pampering evening—a mini-vacation for all the senses—it is highly recommended.
