Dirty. Closed even though the open sign was lit. It took several minutes for the man watching TV to open it. Mediocre taste.
Unfortunately, I didn 't like it. The bistro doesn 't give a clean impression. Cobwebs on the chairs. And the smell of stale cooking oil unfortunately contributed to the food not tasting good. The prices are great, but the food, unfortunately, not so much. Too greasy, and the spring roll tasted stale.
You can't go there anymore... old grease, portions are getting smaller and smaller and they only fill them with rice, old noodles or sprouts. The meat is dry, old and burnt. The vegetables are not fresh. You order mild and get super spicy. The sauces have a strange taste and smell. The duck got a 5 minus in school grades, the chicken a 4 minus, the noodles a 6, the soup a 4, the banana a 5, the sauces a 5, the appearance a 5. On top of that, the atmosphere inside is old and greasy. Prices are OK, almost too cheap, I'd rather pay €3 more but it's better. The two members of staff are wearing private clothes and seem overwhelmed. Long wait.
Ordered nasin goreng and a spring roll today. The spring roll was inedible because the fat was gone. Nasi goreng was laced with sausage, and you'd have to search for other ingredients you'd expect. They served chicken without asking. The meat tasted sour and smelled accordingly. The whole dish smelled weird and looked even weirder. I threw it away. 99% of the food ended up in the trash. The interior also looked terribly neglected in every respect.
I ordered baked chicken with noodles, and the chicken tasted sour and stale. The breading was dry, greasy, and old. The noodles had no flavor, no herbs, just a few carrots. I returned the plate and told the cook that the chicken must be a week old. He says he gets it delivered once a week. Enjoy your food poisoning. Where's the health department? Why aren't there any inspections? After I paid, I told him that they shouldn't serve that kind of thing to guests, that I know a lot of good Vietnamese restaurants, and that he should be ashamed of himself. While I was talking to him, he was preparing takeout food and dipping his finger into the wok to taste it. Then he packed the food for delivery. When I confronted him about it, he said it was a takeout place, not a restaurant. Unbelievable.
