In contrast to the efficient Maitre d Enzo you get first-class service. Return guests are reminded and warmly welcomed
Hotel Wengener Hof is a more expensive sister hotel to Hotel Belvedere, the latter is where we stayed. Wengener Hof offered a discount on their half board dinner for Belvedere guests so we decided to try it to compare. Like Belvedere it was a 5...course meal with 3 entree options. The chef here though is far more artistic, with each course having sauces and/or flowers as decoration. The food also had better flavor and variety. Like most places in Wengen the beer and wine by the glass selection was limited, but a dark beer was offered which my boyfriend hadn't seen before. Atmosphere was dated but classy, service was very good, the food I'd call above average and certainly better than the Belvedere. If the discount for Belvedere guests brought it to a price closer to the half board cost at the Belvedere, I would recommend eating here instead for all in hotel dinners. Overall a better half board dinner that its sister hotel.
Three hotels in Wengen (Silberhorn, Wengener Hof, Belvedere) under the same management share the same wine cellar. An extensive selection of the best Bordeaux wines (both young and mature) for prices that are bargains. Hotel Wengener Hof's restaurant is a beautiful Dining Room that serves a menu that changes on a daily basis. The food is very good and the service is impeccable. Very good value for you money. But the best thing is yet wine list, and specially its Clarets. Do not miss those 3 hotels if you are a wine afficionado.
We were staying at the hotel and ate two dinners here. The menu changes every day and includes several courses with a few choices for each. Wait staff is very friendly and works hard to give you a great experience.
