Farmhouse Cafe - Wendell

The food was delicious this morning. The Eye Opener breakfast platter was excellent, and the Cowboy Wrap was tasty. The Iced Latte was a bit bland, but I should have added some flavor. The food was prepared quickly and served piping hot.

I was not expecting much when I ventured to the outskirts of Raleigh in search of a lunch spot, but I was pleasantly surprised by this place. It has more of a coffee shop vibe inside an airport than a traditional restaurant, but the food, beer, and coffee we ordered were all excellent. You place your order at the counter and then find a table to enjoy your meal. The outdoor seating area is spacious and beautiful, and the building itself is quite attractive. I tried the AAAH sandwich (avocado, asparagus, arugula, and havarti) and it was absolutely delicious. The ingredients all seemed very fresh, and they pride themselves on sourcing locally as much as possible. While it may not be your typical restaurant choice, this place offers some unique and appealing options if you happen to be in the area.

This charming, peaceful cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seating options. You place your order at the counter and they will announce when it is ready for you to pick up. I tried the BLT and E (BLT with egg on a croissant) and it was delicious - the croissant was flaky, the bacon was thickly cut, and the egg was perfectly cooked. I also enjoyed a strawberry banana smoothie which was refreshing. My partner had a wrap and enjoyed it as well. This cafe is a great spot to start your day with a tasty meal or just stop in for a bite to eat.

This place is a treasure! They have smoothies and a creative menu. The key lime dessert looked terrific. My food was cooked properly it was just a sloppy plating; my smoothie did not match expectations. It has a good vibe to the place with outside(with fire pits in the winter) and inside seating.

I?ve been here a few times and each time I?ve witnessed the food being repaired without gloves. Everyone seemed to be wearing gloves except the man preparing the food which doesn?t make sense. Don?t bother ordering wine, the pours are sad at best. Thefood is good thus the 3 stars. *edit to change to 1 star. I literally just watched the man wipe his face and then continuepreparing food without gloves. Very gross.
