The pub was not open and the A board had been wiped clean. Looking through the windows, it seemed a quaint place, divided into small sections, with a wooden floor. I vaguely remembered that I had passed it on a Sunday afternoon in summer after visiting Hatfield House a f... View all feedback. What Janet Lang likes about Eight Bells:
Fantastic. I adore this restaurant with its quirky ceilings and tall-person-unfriendly beams. There are plenty of cozy corners indoors and a lovely garden for enjoying summer afternoons. The beer selection, especially the Farr Brews, is top-notch and the guest beers are also of excellent quality, making it a tough decision for Farr fans. read moreDespite some negative reviews, this charming pub in old Hatfield seems to be hitting its stride with a cozy ambiance, excellent service, and a variety of ales on tap. While there are still some areas that could use improvement, it has the potential to become a local gem. The staff are friendly and welcoming, creating a positive atmosphere for all patrons. The cozy interiors and lovely garden make it a great spot for enjoying drinks and conversation. Overall, with a few tweaks and more consistent beer offerings, this pub has the makings of a great neighborhood haunt worth checking out.
