This restaurant is a typical Chinese establishment with a drab atmosphere. Nothing extraordinary. However, their homemade dumplings are absolutely delicious! I was impressed by them. There's a reason why the place is always empty. If you happen to be in this area of Pennsylvania, it's definitely worth a visit, especially for the dumplings. View all feedback.

The service was excellent. My wife’s steak was over marinated and dry. Too much salty marinade and overcooked. The iceberg lettuce with the blue cheese dressing was great. My steak was ordered medium and came out rare. What really torques me is when there is a surcharge for using a credit on debit card to pay. Theirs is 3.99%. I occasionally have issues with my order, but when it's correct, the food is delicious. This is the only Chinese restaurant in Wellsboro where I have never gotten sick. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The traditional paintings on the walls are beautiful. The restaurant also smells pleasant.
On my third trip to the Wellsboro area, I made sure to visit the Dumpling House once again. While they offer typical Chinese American dishes, their homemade dumplings are the star of the show. The restaurant, which is family owned, has a friendly and welcoming staff. Despite Google Maps indicating dine-in service, it was takeout only during my visit. However, I was able to wait in the dining area with my mask on. I ordered a sesame chicken combo with fried rice, which was satisfactory and familiar. The highlight of my meal was definitely the pork and shrimp dumplings. Although the price for the shrimp dumplings was a bit higher, they were definitely worth trying.
You wouldn't expect to find amazing Chinese food in the mountains, but this delightful restaurant offers dishes that could compete with those found in American Chinese restaurants in New York City. Make sure not to miss out on the delicious dumplings - they are fabulous!
When I'm in Wellsboro, PA, there are a few places I always make sure to visit, and this unassuming restaurant is one of my favorites. As of September 2021, they are only offering takeout, but their delicious Chinese food is still top-notch.
This restaurant is the perfect spot to enjoy General Tso's chicken. It is tender, juicy, and swimming in sauce. I have tried General Tso's chicken from Washington DC to Erie, but none compare to the delicious taste of this dish at this restaurant.
