We have been coming to Mike's for YEARS and always very happy with our food. The Lobster Stew is basically a full lobster (or more) in a cup and if you're eating in, you NEED to order the Lobster Mac and Cheese.... I'm forever ordering takeout though soI can hit the beach, watch the waves, and stuff my face full of that Stew and fried seafood. Seriously the best way to enjoy ameal on the Maine Coast. Was told they have the best lobster around, so we came here. Fish and chips and sweet potato fries were high quality, but they need to have some kind of special dipping sauce to bring it up a level. Their corn on the cob was low quality, and the kid'spizza was practically inedible. My son who normally loves pizza only ate one slice. We've come to Mike since JAHRE and always very happy with our food. The Lobster Stew is basically a full lobster (or more) in a cup and if you eat, you must order the Lobster Mac and cheese.... I always command takeout, but so I can meet the beach, observe the waves and my face full of this stew and roasted seafood. Seriously the best way to enjoy a meal at the Maine Coast.
Meal time was delicious and we also came quite late at the opening day, but the staff was super friendly and we didn't feel rushed at all. Nice menu, but choose a special, salmon dinner. Salmon was perfectly cooked. A great first experience and it won't be my last.
Great place and good food. Many seating with a quiet dining area and pub section with many TVs. Fast and friendly service. I had the Surf-N-Turf, which was brilliant and cheap.
Great atmosphere friendly waiter delicious food, it is expensive, but you definitely get what you pay. Lobster Mac and cheese was exceptional I had about 5 large claws and some pieces mixed with the creamy Mac and cheese. My other half got the fried clams middle part with onion rings, which was a large amount of both. Will definitely be back
Stopped here for lunch on our way to York Harbor. Lots of cars in the parking lot, which we took to be a good sign. The dining room was full so we sat in the bar area. Outside seating was also available. Service was excellent. I had steamers, which were delicious, and my husband had the lobster stew, which was chock full of lobster. I am already planning our next visit!
