We have been coming to Mike's for YEARS and always very happy with our food. The Lobster Stew is basically a full lobster (or more) in a cup and if you're eating in, you NEED to order the Lobster Mac and Cheese.... I'm forever ordering takeout though soI can hit the beach, watch the waves, and stuff my face full of that Stew and fried seafood. Seriously the best way to enjoy ameal on the Maine Coast. What Andrew George doesn't like about Mike's Clam Shack:
Was told they have the best lobster around, so we came here. Fish and chips and sweet potato fries were high quality, but they need to have some kind of special dipping sauce to bring it up a level. Their corn on the cob was low quality, and the kid'spizza was practically inedible. My son who normally loves pizza only ate one slice. My first time at Mike's as I suggest to my sister there is more than Warren's Lobster House around here. Anyways, sat in the sports bar area.
My husband and I have dined at Mike's Clam Shack several times and always ordered the fried clamsI came for the day with my sister and two friends.

This is a must for the bucket list. The BEST clam chowder lobster stew in the state of Maine in my opinion. The dinners are fantastic. It 's so hard to choose between all the amazing options. They get 10 from me!!!
Fried food was without a doubt very fresh.they were very busy,but we got our food reasonably quick.the good? Drinks were great.friendly service.haddock and scallops were very fresh.large portion size also the bad? While the fried goods were qualityprotein and not overcooked,the breading was really underwhelming.from scallop,to tender,to haddock,to o ring... Wellexecuted.but very bland.salt couldn't save it.fries were frozen,which for the price is kinda lame.that being said,I'll beback.food was good,service was curious and we had a good time.id say my biggest negative would come from how terrible the Coleslaw was.seafood restaurants should have that perfected.i cook for a bar and mine puts theirs to shame.im not trying to saymines anything special but that's how sad the slaw was.clean oil .food was cooked right.just maybe a pinch more spice and 20 secmore in the fryer for a lil more color and your be seeing a 5 star.very impressed tho for how much volume they were doing at thetime
