The best fried shrimp I've ever tasted! They were cooked perfectly, and you could see the pink shrimp strips. My husband ordered mussels with Linguine, and there were an incredible number of shells! We absolutely loved the seafood, relaxed atmosphere. But FROZE while eating. Asked the server to perhaps turn the heat up. She said she would like to but. The owner or manager probably will not. It’s (November and 36 degrees) Everyone was wearing their coats and miserable. The owner/manager was on site and bragging that “it’s Maine! You’re supposed to be cold!” What the heck!?!? And stopped for lunch. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. The bar is half inside and half outside. We were sitting outside. Food was really good! We're coming back!
Excellent food, nice atmosphere. Not my usual kind of place but I liked it... the beers were cold and the shots were chilled.. Their Clam Chowder is a MUST!! OMG amazing!!! Thank you New England House Seafood!! Very nice staff!
Popular! 4pm Sat. a 25 min. wait. Totally worth it. Clam chowder w/applewood smoked bacon lovely, thick flavorful. Seafood Combo PERFECTLY fried, delicious. Coleslaw perfect balance between sweet tart. Italian lemon cream cake not to be missed. Blueberry Peach Punch delightful. Our server was great: pleasant, quick, attentive w/out being intrusive.
We have been meaning to write a glowing review for months and months now...and within that time have been to New England House over and over again, experiencing the same level of exceptional service, food quality, and speed during each visit. In a (pandemic) world where virtually every restaurant has had trouble with hours, staffing, and food inventory, New England House has been the model of consistency, knocking it out of the park every time. It's nothing short of MIRACULOUS, and congratulations are in order to the always friendly and welcoming staff and management. The folks here are hard working and incredibly talented, and we are so happy to have benefitted from their greatness. Thank you!
Have dined here twice, AMAZING! Miranda was our server both times and she was nothing short of GREAT! Huge portions, good selection, no kids menu but they more than accommodated us. Always busy but we haven’t had a wait time yet. Obviously the amazing food and service is no secret. We will be back frequently.
