Bitter End - Wells
Bitter End
Description
Nestled in Kennebunk, this locally owned spot mixes eclectic, nostalgic decor with a rustic barn-like bar, lively outdoor firepits and sports memorabilia. Guests praise friendly staff, strong drinks and standout dishes like crab cakes, mussels, burgers and pulled pork, while music and plentiful parking add appeal. Experiences vary: the restaurant can be noisy and service or food consistency fluctuates—expect occasional long waits, over- or undercooked items and missed sides—but its vibe and outdoor scene keep patrons returning.

We dined at this restaurant for Thanksgiving and had an amazing experience. The staff was exceptional, and we couldn't have asked for better service. The food, service, and atmosphere all received top marks: 5 out of 5!

My husband and I visited Wells, ME, at the end of October, and many restaurants were closed for dinner. While exploring our options, we stumbled upon Bitter's End, a charming restaurant and bar. We were thoroughly impressed by the ambiance and the food. We made it a point to return there this year! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner

We had a wonderful meal tonight. My husband had the Pulled Pig and I had the Rock Shrimp Noodle Bowl. Both were excellent! It was extremely busy but we were in and out in about an hour and 15 minutes. My husband’s only complaint is that they wouldn’t let him take the new Larry Bird shirt home! He loves all the sports paraphernalia! All the staff and hostess were very friendly. We will definitely be back. Meal type: Dinner
