This is the best sushi I've ever had in my life, and I've tried a lot of sushi! I live in Melbourne, so you might not see me around for a while after this (especially for the chicken teriyaki with avocado on the outside)! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sushi B!:
Sushi a bit hit and miss. Great eel sushi in terms of flavour and texture, salmon was fresh and was enjoyable too, bad chicken roll with cold hard chicken, a few average selection too. A side note while the concept is on the go sushi, and while there is seating for 2 in store, the concept isn 't great for Wellington weather- plenty of benches outside but definitely not very enjoyable to eat with the usual wind of Wel... The sushi selection is fresh and vibrant, with all the options looking absolutely delicious. The salmon is incredibly fresh, and they are generous with the fillings. We visited on the weekend, so we didn't have to contend with the weekday crowds. While Midland Sushi is still my top choice, Sushi Bi is a close second.
This is my favorite sushi restaurant! Everything is incredibly fresh, and the variety is outstanding! Each time I visit, I make an effort to try something new, and I’ve yet to find anything I didn't enjoy. The best part is when everything is half price! Just a few days ago, a friend and I went for a late lunch and ended up paying less than $10 for both meals (see the picture below)! We could hardly finish it all! What an amazing deal!
Probably the best takeaway sushi I've found in Wellington (especially when you go after 4pm and get it half price! they're constantly bringing out fresh sushi and lines are out the door. Obviously a very popular place. I've bought sushi from here many times over the years and never disappoints!
January 2011 I moved to Wellington and started my first job on the Terrace. My colleagues recommended Sushi Bi as 'the best sushi in Wellington '. <br/ <br/ I tried, it, I loved it... it definitely lived up to the hype – I became a frequent visitor. What I also liked was the half price sushi deals at the end of the day which made for a cheap evening meal.<br/ <br/ Fast forward to now and there are many more food options in the area including other sushi outlets. It 's been a while since I visited. The queues aren 't as big but I found it to be as consistently tasty and fresh as ever. I did feel they didn 't have as wide a variety available as some other places, but that could have been when I visited.<br/ <br/ I really enjoyed the sushi and look forward to returning soon.
The only bad thing about this place is that the queue outside is almost always long and the Wellington weather is hardly supportive. But the long queues also mean this place does great sushi for a reasonable price. It really does. The variety is large too. Definitely recommended.
